Milestone based billing is a very popular term in the IT industry which simply means
A bill/invoice is sent to the customer once certain number of tasks or milestone (s) are completed
Similarly in life one gets a bill in the form of an event (good or bad, success or failure, good or ill health etc.)
This bill (amount and date) depends on the seeds (good or bad deeds) that have been sown in the past
Interestingly one cannot default on this bill; one has to pay it then and there through another series of good/bad deeds which in turn become the milestones for the next bill!
